Strictly Ballroom & Latin – Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to Strictly Ballroom & Latin. By enrolling in our classes, attending events, purchasing memberships, or using any of our services, you agree to these terms and conditions. These terms apply universally, regardless of our location, and will remain in effect even if the company relocates.
2. General Terms
- Strictly Ballroom & Latin provides dance classes, events, tea dances, dance holidays, and fitness classes. We also offer memberships that grant discounts on select services.
- These terms and conditions govern all services offered by Strictly Ballroom & Latin.
- We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via our official website and/or email.
- No refunds or exchanges are offered for any service, including classes, events, memberships, or dance holidays, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
3. Memberships
- Memberships are valid for the period specified at the time of purchase.
- All memberships are linked to Strictly Ballroom & Latin as a business entity, not a specific location. If the company relocates, memberships will remain valid at the new location.
- Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- Discounts associated with memberships apply only to eligible services as specified at the time of purchase.
- All members must provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel any class, lesson, or event. Failure to do so will result in the full price being charged.
4. Dance Classes and Events
- Participants must adhere to instructor guidance for safety and instructional purposes.
- We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any participant who behaves in a disruptive or unsafe manner.
- Fees for classes and events must be paid in advance unless otherwise agreed upon.
- No refunds or exchanges are offered for classes, workshops or events unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- If Strictly Ballroom & Latin cancel a workshop or event, participants will be offered a rescheduled session.
- Cancellations & No-Show Policy: All participants (including non-members) must provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel any class, lesson, or event booking. Failure to do so will result in the full fee being charged, regardless of reason.
5. Dance Holidays
- Dance holidays are subject to additional booking terms, which will be provided separately.
- Deposits for dance holidays are non-refundable.
- Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements, accommodation, and insurance.
- No refunds or exchanges are offered for dance holidays unless explicitly stated otherwise.
6. Health and Safety
- Participants engage in dance and fitness activities at their own risk.
- It is the responsibility of participants to inform instructors of any medical conditions or injuries that may affect their ability to participate.
- Strictly Ballroom & Latin is not liable for injuries sustained during classes, events, or dance holidays unless caused by proven negligence on our part.
7. Dress Code and Footwear
- Participants must wear appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for dance.
- Strictly Ballroom & Latin reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone wearing unsafe or inappropriate attire.
- Dance shoes or suitable non-marking footwear are required for all classes and events.
8. Photography & Video Consent
- During classes, events, and dance holidays, we may take photographs or videos for promotional purposes (e.g., social media, website, marketing material).
- By attending, you consent to being filmed or photographed.
- If you prefer not to appear in any media, please inform us in writing before the event/class.
9. Gift Vouchers & Credit Notes
- Gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated.
- Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Lost or expired vouchers will not be replaced.
10. Refunds & Cancellations
- No refunds or exchanges will be provided for any service, including but not limited to classes, workshops, events, memberships, and dance holidays, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- Refunds are not issued for missed classes/workshops/events/functions and any service.
- Event tickets, and bookings (including all services) are non-refundable.
- All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email and will be processed at our discretion.
11. Liability & Code of Conduct
- We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings during classes or events.
- Participants must respect the venue, staff, instructors, and fellow attendees.
- Any damage caused to property, equipment, or facilities due to negligence or misconduct will be the financial responsibility of the individual(s) involved.
12. Inclement Weather & Unforeseen Circumstances
- In the event of severe weather or unforeseen circumstances (such as venue issues or public health restrictions), classes/events/workshops (and services mentioned on this page) may be rescheduled or offered an alternative class/event/workshop or service, from the existing Timetable/Events page.
- Refunds will not be issued in these cases.
13. Right to Refuse Service
- Strictly Ballroom & Latin reserves the right to refuse service or entry to any individual who breaches our terms, behaves inappropriately, or causes disruption to our classes, events, or venues.
- This includes persistent cancellations, inappropriate language, harassment, or any behaviour that negatively affects staff or attendees.
14. Relocation of Business
- If Strictly Ballroom & Latin relocates, all memberships and pre-purchased services will remain valid at the new location.
- Customers will be notified in advance of any relocation.
- No Refund will be issued.
15. Dispute Resolution
- In the event of any dispute regarding our services, we ask that you contact us directly so we can attempt to resolve the issue amicably.
- These terms are governed by UK law, and any legal disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the UK courts.
16. Privacy Policy
- We respect your privacy and handle personal data in compliance with GDPR regulations.
- Personal information collected will only be used for communication related to our services and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
